As some others have said, Good on Paper makes for great entertainment. It doesn’t aspire to be high cinema, and that tone allows you to actually connect more easily with the “ philosophical” moments in the film regarding relationships and frustrations in life generally. Some critics out there really misread this film and took it to task for not being tidier in its narrative. I disagree. I liked it very much just the way it is.
