I was an 80's teen who loved the original, even part two wasn't bad. Other than the nostalgic aspect for me, this was pretty rough. Wanted to like it, just tough to swallow. 1- Keanu looked awkward, like he was being forced at gunpoint to do the movie 2- the way they had the daughters act just like them got old and was weird, and 3- the lack of screen time for Death one of the best characters was really disappointing. Sadly, it's not even close to being a most excellent movie.
