Really one of the worst and most overrated movies ever. I wasted close to four hours watching it and by the end was exhausted and couldn't care less what happened to any of the main characters. The only positive is the cinematography with some excellent shots of New York. Other than that there is nothing positive or redeeming, the action is extremely violent, and even the sexual scenes are crude and offensive. I have seen nudity and sex portrayed in a very healthy way in many films. It will be very uncomfortable to watch this movie with your family. It glorifies deception, violence and crime, and these are the reasons why today's world is in such a mess. Even though many movies portray some violence, they always end on a redemptive note with the triumph of good over evil. This is the way it should be. However this movie seems more like a hellish drug trip. It's a pity that Sergio Leone who has made some good movies, especially Westerns, should make this his swan song!
