As a parent of adopted siblings this film resonated with me. Of course it was sanitised but there was so much that reminded me of the trials and tribulations - from the kind but pretty hopeless social worker to the delight when your kids call you mum for the first time. We were lucky our support group (post adoption) was great and very supportive!!
