Fans of the book are Whiney and annoying. The book is too long, the story too vast and really politically out of date for a modern update. We saw the trailers and knew it was going to be a modern reimagining. The story did suffer a little but the action and the set pieces more than make up for it. Not every movie has to be story driven, sometimes it’s better just to go on an easy ride and enjoy the show! I do agree this would have knocked it out of the park as a series but it still worked as a movie.
