Starts off well, a good premise and mystery which quickly loses its way and leaves too many unanswered questions. At first I thought I’d missed the last episode but seemingly nope, what you see is what you get. So if you like watching a murder mystery which stays a murder mystery and nothing is resolved then this is the show for you. Spoiler alert The killer acts so stupidly at the end, you have to wonder why he actually does what he does when he torments the journalist, there is no rhyme or reason for his behaviour when all he needs to do is actually grab her and lock her in a room. Not recommended

Once I got over the bitter disappointment that it wasn’t a modern version or even a re-imagining of War of the Worlds I quite enjoyed this series. It’s true it can be slow in places, the pacing off in some scenes ( moments of time being used that add nothing to a scene nor to the overall story arch). I’d recommend it as a good solid sci-fi series that didn’t need the burden of the actual title.

A series should always be based on how it holds your attention span. After watching the first two episodes, mine drifted in the third and I haven’t watched the rest and don’t think I’ll bother to be honest. I thoroughly enjoy a good London “geezer” movie, with Bob Hoskins in The Long Good Friday, Danny Dyer in anything and of course any Guy Ritchie movie of this genre. But the series? The dialogue is there, the characters and Vinnie Jones but there’s something missing, that speed of patter, the rat atat of snappy dialogue between characters who frighten the bejesus out of you but it’s not there for me. Maybe it’s in the adaptation from large screen to small and the difficulty of sustaining the pace of a movie throughout a series but this does get slightly tedious and repetitive with many one dimensional characterisations. If Netflix cancel you can blame viewers like me who expect better from Mr Ritchie and just not a pale imitation of his movies. ( even Vince Jones looked tired and jaded and in it just for the wages )

If you enjoy watching some guy being tortured and sometimes quite graphically.. you’ll love this movie

I’m watching this movie for the third time. I don’t care the stories are fractured and don’t seem to link together. I don’t care that the same actors play many parts and it’s hard , sometimes, to tell who it is under the make up. This is cinema. Just sit back enjoy the images the colour the spectacle of it.

A movie that obviously started when someone thought of the title... and that’s exactly what you get from this exploration movie. One of the best bad movies I’ve ever watched

British revenge flick at its best. A gory, violent movie that goes back to basics with a pared down simple storyline ( although to nonlinear telling is annoying at first, it does fall into place so worth sticking with). The ending? All your questions aren’t going to be answered but you can take from it what you want. Giving it 7/10 for me

Great to see this trend of using older, mature actors to actually act and bring to life the characters they portray. An excellent fantasy drama show that lets Sissy Spacek and JK Simmons show off their acting range. A slow building ( but absorbing) TV series that I’d recommend thoroughly

I’m not a Jeremy Clarkson fan but have to admit that this series certainly casts him a new light. Funny, warm and emotional it allows to scrape the surface of farming in the 2020’s and it’s certainly opened my eyes to how hard it is. Excellent show and I’d thoroughly recommend

I won’t spoil this movie for you. You think it’s going to be your typical city folk having a run in with the locals kind of thriller.. but it isn’t. An excellent film with a very satisfying ( if unexpected) end. 5 stars from me!
