The movie is appropriate for all ages, but I believe that children ages 4 to 6 would appreciate more. It isn't a scary movie, unless your child has never seen sea creatures before and find anything new to be frightful. My class of students, ages 4-5, years old enjoyed it.

The supporting actors all seem to be trying a bit too hard to be funny. The female main character isn't likable. It is difficult to get immersed in the plot. I am hoping it gets better.
