Wow...what an abuse of power. So much discretion at the disposal of police officers. You never have to consent to a search of your vehicle. The police are not allowed to ask you where you are going or where you have been. Police are never allowed to ask you questions of a personal nature. And if they persist...simply ask "is this a request or an order officer?" If they say it's an order then you must comply. And if they say it's an order and it's on camera when it is not...well then disciplinary action will be taken on the officer. Flex your rights people...police officers are scary.
