People are complaining and nitpicking about the realism of the show but what everyone is failing to realize
1) it’s a fictional show. Just like GoT isn’t real and Harry Potter isn’t real. See may be post apocalyptic but as with most post apocalyptic premises, there’s a lot of fictional components to it. It’s as realistic as fake shows get.
2) it’s set over 500 years after the blindness first happens so obviously people are going to evolve and adapt to not having sight and be able to do everyday things. Everything they are able to do and how is pretty believable if you pay attention to the time frame in which it occurs.
3) the writers do an excellent job of showing the limitations while also highlighting how the people adapted to their sightlessness. People still fall, they use sound and walking sticks to get where they need to go, other senses have gotten better, but they are also strong. They do not give up and they survive.
People are always so quick to criticize. If you search hard enough, you are going to find something in everything you look at.
The show is fantastic. I love the idea, the storyline is captivating and there’s a lot you do not see (ha pun) coming. It’s captivating. And the action is just plain savage. The way the fight scenes are choreographed is phenomenal. Jason Momoa once again puts on an amazing performance.
If you go into knowing it’s fictional you can sit back and enjoy it for the cinematic beauty that it is.
