I'd rather have watched ten episodes of Coronation Street that this utter tripe. Was really really looking forward to the Apple version of an Alien apocalypse but my anticipation was rewarded with the most boring tv show to be produced in living memory... do yourself a favour and cancel your subscription if this is what they're spending their money on!

Another outstanding drama show from Korea. They've cornered the market on slick, blood spattered action shows and this one sits right up there. The characters are well rounded with great back stories and it's hard to turn off once you start. My only criticism would be having North Koreans as the obligatory bad guys which is wearing rather thin these days, having the Americans as a foe was much more interesting for the first few episodes! Some of the action sequences had me howling with laughter (given the premise that the main antagonist could not die). The last three episodes were somewhat rushed but apart from that it is a superb show, highly recommended.

Firstly, if you're new to the genre, you have to understand the power of celebritism in Korean society, the drive to become celebrity that is endemic in the youth of Korea and the need for acceptance above all else. This vastly superior piece of work is as much social commentary as it is satire. As one would expect, the violence (including depiction of sexual violence) is raw and as unsettling as it is powerful. The storyline deals with loneliness, social isolation, bullying and peer pressure in the extreme. The underlying search for redemption that will only be achieved by the ultimate sacrifice makes it a compelling but bleak watch and the depiction of violence against women has you rooting for the most despicable of protagonists that you find yourself questioning your own moral standpoint. Reminiscent of the early works of Park Chan-Wook, this is definitely the #metoo series of 2023, I'm male and I loved it. The three main male characters are utterly vile, giving the 'heroine' carte blanche to beat, murder and dismember at will only to meet her match with the arrival mid series of an equally psychotic grieving mother seeking revenge. This is a chick flick for the new millennium. The direction, acting, stunts and cinematography are sharp as a razor and the completed work stands out as one of my top five international series of the year. Five Stars!

I look forward to Netflix Original movies, they're generally worth the wait. Not so 'Rattlesnake'. Riddled with generic plot points, horrendous acting and laughable dialogue, this would have been lost in Direct to Video hell if some low-rent executive at Netflix hadn't saved its bacon (one hopes that the said executive is now seeking employment in a more suitable role!). The expression "I'll never get that 90 minutes of my life back" will ring in your ears if you're stupid enough to waste your time on this piece of dross.
