This show knew exactly what it wanted to be and how they wanted it to be perceived. Madmen is a show does not care about politically correct statements/wording because it is wants to immerse you into the life of Don Draper in the 60's. From many people who lived in this era they will agree that the setting of this era was executed nearly flawlessly from costume to language to perspectives of different aged characters to books and other miscellaneous props in the background. Each character, no matter the significance/air time, is written to challenge the other characters in such a way that the audience begins to know more the characters than the character themselves know... in other words each side character has a meaning to their creation. The casting is suburb since each actor plays their characters effortlessly natural. Not to mention the directors (especially in the earlier seasons) were geniuses with the camera, every shot was filmed with such significance that it could tell the story without any words. Everytime I rewatch this show I find more things to love about it, it will always remain my favourite tv show of all time.
