So woke and some disappointing casting. Did they really have to introduce swearing and introduce so many scenes that are simply made up.

A mix of Barbara Cartland, 55 Shades and a dash of Jane Austen all wrapped up in a diversity blanket. Amusing but comes across as a spoof production.

Good job I’d read the book as the switching between time periods could have been very confusing. The relationships needed exploring and explaining further. I couldn’t really believe in Jo and the professor. Also some scenes where all girls were involved became muffled with the noise of them all speaking at once.Beautifully filmed and excellent acting but the adaptation didn’t live up to the hype.
