I suppose the book is more interesting, because there is not enough detail to link Dave's abduction to his personality transformation, perhaps a scene after his abduction could have done the story justice. The plot line is predictable. The are no connections between the first and last scene, yet it forces you that it is, like " I wish Dave would have never gotten on that car", what? really? The story revolves around Katie's murder, but somehow it makes you belief that the Abduction has something to do with it. Not a good adoption, good acting tho.

In general the Awaken was good, the Last Jedi was worse and the Rise was the absolute worst. The idea of being a Jedi simple, to be a believer of the force yet you have to practice under the supervision of a Jedi master to learn. But, Rey can defeat Kylo at the first combat????, that is a lazy writing in my opinion. Emperor turns into an underground monster and waits for his granddaughter to turn her into the dark side. Where does these complications come from? The transformation of Kylo from dark to the light is just plain ripped from every teenage romance movies.
