This show was really different - and I enjoyed it quite a bit! Shin Hye-Sun WOW, what an actor!!! She really knocked it out of the park. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a period piece and some laughs.

I will watch anything with Park Bo-Young. She is my all-time favorite Korean actor. Park Hyung-Sik is pretty adorable in this show. Overall, it is incredibly well executed to create a tongue and cheek satirical feel that is fun and beautiful to watch. My only beef is the villian is a little too icky and they spend a little too much time watching him abuse women. I always skip this parts because I find them really uncomfortable. The chemistry between the two leads is awesome and I love that even though the male lead can be a little manipulative, you can tell he's just having some fun and when it counts he seriously supports her in ways that most Korean men fail to do in these shows.

This drama is a pure work of art. The story is so bittersweet, the actors knock it out of the park. The cinematography will blow you away. Gong Yoo and Lee Dong-Wook have excellent chemistry that makes it fun. The world building was one of the most solid I've found in this genre of shows. Just rewatched it recently and just love it.

This is one of my most favorite k-dramas of all time. Park Bo-Young is such an amazing and versatile actor. The characters are rich, it tugs at your heart and the ending is oh-so satisfying. It will forever be one of the series I return to again and again.

This was a fun action thriller. The choreography was really interesting, and Ji Chang-Wook pulls it off well - overall really fun to watch. I wish wish wish that the villianess in this show was the female lead. It would have been one hell of a redemption arc - the foundation is all there - and their chemistry was amazing. Unfortunately, the actual written romance is disappointing. I have no idea (other than pity) why he is interested in Anna- she does not grow beyond her trauma as a character. The scenes that they circle back to repeatedly to build feeling are just... not compelling. Her dancing with the ramen, the CPR (not sexy, people - he wasn't even doing it right!! lol)... I just wasn't excited about their growing relationship. In addition, and maybe it lost my attention enough that I missed some details, but there were definitely plot points that made me raise an eyebrow - for instance - when he saved the villianess in the car chase scene, you would think she would put him on her body guard detail (esp after the attempt on her life) - but no. she has him babysitting the girl? The lone wolf who doesn't listen and who has impeccable morals? If she had any sense she would have kept him the hell away from Anna. There are other moments as well, but you get the gist. Long story short, I skipped over a lot of the romance scenes because they just felt blah or downright cringey, but if you don't care too much about the details, it's a fun overall story with some harrowing moments and great battles. That shower fight scene was something else. haha!
