Trek Nation was a pleasant surprise, a nicely done story that documents and honors the Star Trek tradition with heart and soul. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because nothing is perfect. Had I seen it before writing my Skywatch column marking franchise's 50th anniversary, I would have incorporated some of the film's observations. But Star Trek's 55th anniversary is coming in September, so I will correct that. My appreciation to Gene Roddenberry Jr. for this labor of love.
