Insomniac Raccoon

Extremely fun. The story isn't anything too exciting, and the animations are a bit buggy. The music is amazing and the fights are extremely fun. My biggest complaint is that it was short. Took me about two/three days to complete the main story. So if you're not into revisiting the fights you've already won, you probably want to pass on this one. My second complaint is that the animation is kind of subpar for 2020 standards. Textures clip, voice acting was out of sync here and there, and there were a few bugs I encountered. The story has a lot of potential that wasn't really explored fully, and taking into mind that this is this little malaysian company's first game, I'd say they did a fantastic job. I would have loved to see more from the characters and spend some more time exploring them and their histories. Maybe we can get some added content sometime? DLC? Excited to see more of what the company can do, with NSR and other titles. :)

If you were hoping for a film that even remotely follows the original plot, I'll save you some time and money by simply telling you to rewatch the original. This remake throws in bland characters with horrible acting that try to steal the spotlight from our favorite flying elephant. There were a few nods to the original but they were so small that you could blink and miss it. The visuals were pretty good, music was incredibly forgettable, the main characters were awful, and I was severely disappointed. Kids would probably enjoy it, but this one I'm positive will go straight to Netflix, so save your money.

After everything I've seen, watched, read, and heard. I'll be saving my money for something else. I swear we get less and less content with each game, and the price only goes higher. Their choice to exclude 400+ pokemon, 150-ish moves, the GTS, optional EXP share, z-moves, and mega evolution were really the last straw. I'm sure the game is entertaining for a lot of people, but as someone who has countless hours into the previous entries in the series... cutting core content and long term goals from the game don't give me a reason to tolerate the stupidly easy main-game while NPCs hold my hand. Everything after Black & White has honestly been a slow downward spiral with a few redeeming qualities. Save your money, wait until the hype dies down, and buy it second hand for a fraction of the price if you must play it.
