Deeply moving and insightful without being in the least bit "mawkish". I could watch it again right now (only just back from the cinema!) - it was that good 🙏!

I had heard negative reviews and decided not to watch this....then a friend told me to ignore this clamouring and I am SO glad I did. Yes, it was dark but my GOODNESS it gave some 21st realism to a well loved story. I HIGHLY recommend it. The morality was not of the usual sweetness but mind blowing and enriching in its characterisation. It's like the story has "grown up". My goodness I'm still processing what I just watched - back to back as I couldnt stop!! Please watch, think and learn. As Mrs Cratchett said "there is still much work to be done". No more excuses - just change. Wow.
