Bohemian Rhapsody excedded my expectations greatly. I love queen so much and some of things in the movie I didn’t know even happened. But the thing about this movie is that it’s sort of hard to fit the ENTIRE story of Queen in 2 hours of films but I don’t mind because this movie gets the most important parts of the story RIGHT. This movie perfects the person that was Freddie Mercury and Rami Malek delivers the performance super well. Everyone in this movie gave a great performance and the Live Aid scene almost made me cry of joy. The entire scene is just GENIUS. I hate how some people don’t like this movie because of the ending. The pourpose of this movie is to CELEBRATE the LIFE of Freddie Mercury and not focus on his death because in this movie, it doesn’t matter. Ending the movie with Live Aid was a perfect way to end the movie.
Okay I have to talk about Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury because he did a FANTASTIC job. He gets the movement, the person, the voice but most of all, his performance while being serious. Towards the end of the middle of the movie Freddie changes character because he is smoking and drinking more. Some movie critics don’t like this because it doesn’t fit the “movie formula.” The formula this movie follows is low point, success, more success, downfall, and then overwhelming success. You see other movies have followed this formula before, not just Bohemian Rhapsody. Think Star Wars Return of The Jedi. We all know that in the previous movie the Rebels got their butts kicked by the Empire and at the start of Return of The Jedi they are at a low point. Then defeating Jabba and rescuing Han Solo is success. Finding the Second Death Star is more success. The Empire launching a surprise attack on the Rebel Fleet is downfall. Then blowing up the Second Death Star is overwhelming success. I think some people are to hypocritical in this world. But this movie is a solid 10/10
