Does anyone at PBS read these? I wrote this comment but doubt it will get read by your people:
I watch your show every night and am impressed with most of your correspondents and reporting but last night was so disappointing. What the hell was that with Nick Shiffrin rattling on and on with all the talking points of the Republicans? And Judy just sitting as if blindsided. (I kept wondering, would Amna Navaz let all that pass?) Then you line up a batch of old, ineffectual has-beens seemingly incapable of making any clear point. In the impeachment hearings I watched I saw strong, dignified performances by both Taylor and Kent, and by the attorney for the Dems. Taylor in particular with his deep voice and sometimes bemused expression reminded me of what an honest, thoughtful, conscious man can be (also a little of Fred MacMurray). I kept wishing he were President. Why did you highlight the grandstanding of Republicans? It was about the testimony of Taylor and Kent, not the Republican congressmen. This is not a debate. Last night was the first time ABC World news with its 1/2 hour of histrionics and weather surpassed your near hour-long reporting. For shame! Please get rid of Nick. He's the most galling international reporter and there is so much to report on internationally that requires comprehension. Maybe he can get a job on Fox. Let's see more of Amna and Hari.
