Since I’ve read both books, I know the story and what to expect. Right from the opening scene of the first episode the writers screwed the pooch. They totally changed the whole story, changed the way some characters are and left out others while adding ones that weren’t even in the story to begin with. What a disappointment. As a true fan of the books, I was hop g they would stick to the story line and bring it to life. But noooooo.....these “artistic types” always have to take “artistic license” and leave their own personal stamp on them. The only thing they got right was the casting of the main character Myfanwy Thomas, and even that was slightly altered. Sadly, this series could have been a lot better had they done it more closely to the original story. I suppose the author Daniel O’Malley didn’t negotiate to keep his story intact. Ugh......so disappointed 😞
