A wonderfully multifaceted book capable of delivering multiple narratives depending on the reader. It interweaves complex modern social issues with vibrant illustrations and subject matter relatable to its growing core demographic, the child of working parents. The book subtlety imbues a sense of reassurance and empowerment in both its reader and audience and will stay with both long after the pages stop turning. It is not often we see works like this that are truly capable of changing the world at a grassroots level. It may just be a children’s book but look beyond the medium and it could be just what the doctor ordered.
