This game is different - in a great way. I started up immediately in splitscreen with someone, and just preparing for our adventure outside of the city gates was exciting - stocking up on rations, water flasks, bedrolls, etc. Figuring out where we should go (the caves to the north? The mountain to the east?), having no idea where our adventure would take us, and knowing that everything out there could kill us - it brought excitement in a way that I haven't felt while playing a game in a very long time - probably not since heading out into the "wildy" for the first time in RuneScape with a friend when I was in middle school! You can very much tell that this is a passion project by the developers.
