This hymnbook is what I grew up with from the time my family joined the United Missionary Church in 1965. It was constantly used in worship, and helped form my theology from it: Wesleyan, Arminian, revivalist, lightly Anabaptist. I learned to repect it as a worship source when I used it as a church planter in the 1980s. It was produced when everybody used the King James Version, a drawback today. Excellent indexes for worship leaders, something I look for in every other hymnbook since.
