Started off somewhat intriguing. Kept my attention enough to persevere. I've never been a fan of Moss. McClure would have nailed this part. It ground to a boring halt by ep.3. Our miscast heroine obviously never leaves base without her curling wand and makeup pouch. Enough. I spy with my little eye...fail.

Though taken place in horrific times, an impossible attraction occurs between a German Officer and a French girl. I was deeply taken by this story, and wanted some sort of romantic display. However, none was needed. It was all spelt out in their eyes, from start to finish. Adieu...sigh...

Absolutely brilliant. Ive never been a fan of this genre, but I had to drag myself away to even urinate. Mr Smooth, Brian Cox is your quintessential Master of Mayhem. To think, I was about to go into a convent, and drown my sorrows in holy water, if I had to watch another piece of rubbish on my tablet. This is definitely divine intervention. Thank you Hayseussss...

I loved this, purely on how it made me feel. It was very Thomas Hardyesque, in its multiple layers of, she loves him, he loves another. No stars in this, but a wonderful ensemble cast. Although, I fall in love with Hiddleston, again, and again. There was a line in the script that brought it all beautifully together. "Love is not confined to marriage"..Maybe Im just an incurable romantic, and this for me, was a feast.

There are thin pickings by way of streaming sites. However, if I see the name, Jed Mercurio, I'm onto a good thing. Not as good as Line of Duty, but kept me enthralled. So, down to business. Hospitals, sadly are now businesses, and the par tient comes off second best. The management team parades around the specialist units like the grim reaper, making sure all the consultants and senior nursing staff are not breaking any rules, and rules are many and rigid. The series primarily revolves around the obstetric and gynacoleogical unit with its three main consultants, and Mr Lake, our frustrated, and likeable registrar. Mr Lake is deep into a dialliance with a senior nurse, and hence my only irritation about the two season series, is the rather boring nightly wham bam thank you nurse, we have to witness in every episode. No foreplay here, just oneplay, and back to the ward. There are some very explicit scenes of vaginas and emerging babies, and plenty of claret. Look, it's no ER, but it is a good escape while waiting for Mr Mercurio's next production.

This is the cream of the crop. The best cast assembled, ever.

Barely 20 seconds in, and Ive nodded off. The script is drivel. Marta deserves a better vehicle to highlight her talents. 1 point for trying too hard.

I've just finished episode 1. Up to this early stage, it's keeping me interested, which says a lot. Swank is fabulous as she normally is. She was the reason I sought it out in the first place. I've read some of the comments below, and nodded off at the complexity of some of the reviews. Absolutely ridiculous rabbiting on that most would be scratching their heads in confusion. Set it out simply and straight forward. This is just a review, not a thesis on how much indecipherable mumbo jumbo I can lay down.
