The Crown is an amazing production. I am British and I watched the whole of series one and two in two weeks with admiration and pride. The casting of the first two series’ was nothing short of brilliant in all cases. Claire and Matt were perfectly cast and played their roles with incredible detail. Whilst I have only just started series 3 I have to say I am surprised and a little disappointed with the casting. Tobias is a great actor in everything he does and he is growing on me within this role but I keep switching him in his Outlander role in my head as he is so well known for it, I hope my opinion changes as I progress through the episodes. I have always been a big fan of Helena Bonham-Carter but am sorry to say that this was a terrible choice of casting for the role of Margaret. She is too short and too typecast by her Harry Potter role to be credible and successful in this one. With all this said I will continue to be captivated by all future episodes of The Crown and I am delighted as a British Citizen with the way this has so far been produced and delivered, well done. I am anxiously awaiting the Diana years to see how they are handled and delivered before making a final judgement.
