(Contains slight spoilers) Okay, I love it, Soo Soo much. I mean this book does have a grip on the reader and there are only two options where you put this book down: 1st You complete It, 2nd you have a grave emergency so you decide to read It later. Unless you won't loose your grip from this book. When I say it left an imprint on my life for a few days, I meant it for real. I live this book because I am not satisfied with the fact that Alison end up at an ICU in state of coma, Theo definitely will be behind the bars and that wicked, cheater, liar wife of Theo, Kathy. I just highly dislike this fact that she did not got a single scratch when every other character faced physical and mental issues because of her and Gabriel's extra marital affair. At the end She completely lost her interest in Theo. She left with the mourning of Gabriel's death😒. Anyway, at the end of the day, its just a fantastic book with everything You are searching in a thriller book. It has mystery, slight gore, a killer, stalker, betrayal, life lessons, love and a character that leaves you in Awe.

I don't know what to feel about this book. There is no doubt it was my best read in 2023 but I have mixed feelings about it. The way this book developed its character as the story grew more, it's brilliant. Like how Jeremy is shown as calm and decent in the beginning but as the story takes its speed you can see he is short-tempered and dominant. I can not neglect the fact that Verity was such an evil and manipulative woman but even she was also scared of him. It was not a manuscript, it was her confession in disgust of the manuscript and that letter was meant to be found by Lowen. Sometimes I thought it was not Veriety but Jeremy but then I remembered her attempt of miscarriage. Anyway it's a perfect psychological thriller which anyone must read.

I finished this book yesterday and couldn't stop myself from writing this review. I love everything about this book. The plot, characters, balance of mystery and suspense and also the way this story has layers of reveal. Especially I love the relationship between Laurel and Ruby, I know it's not the highlight but seriously I love it. I recommend this book to anyone who loves emotions with suspense mystery and a slice of thriller. The sensitive mentions of Ellie's assault are terrifying but not gruesome. And yeah it definitely shows how the character's childhood traumas turned them into evil. If I could I would rate it 10 stars.
