Terrible. No plot, very cringy, crusty, no humor AT ALL. I could list ten more things that were wrong with it. Each episode is a copy of the last one which is basically: Do a surgery, gather with their friends, eat, get called for another surgery, gather with their friends and sing, get called for another surgery, random deaths. Absolutely no story at all. Worst k-drama I watched so far. Even the music, there isn't a single song worthy of my ears. They sang for ten minutes in each episode which was very annoying. The "terrible singing" wasn't very funny either. Just annoying. The thing even more annoying were their expressions while singing-- grin, stare at each other, nod their heads... Do not watch. I don't understand why it has so many good reviews. Started out as a 2-star but as the episodes went on it turned to a 1-star. The characters were awkward, the couples/ships had no chemistry. What a waste of good potential. Would put 0-stars if I could. Boring, wanted to fast-forward each scene. There are many other great k-dramas to watch, not this. Part 2 (season 2): Hello, I have returned after finishing season 2 of Hospital Playlist! I watched it to see if it would be a little better than season 1, but... I don't want to write too much, because honestly you can use my first review for the second season as well. Nothing changed much... They try to be funny a lot and it really isn't. I end up sitting there with a blank face while watching the characters laugh. Plus the terrible singing wasn't that funny once again-- they could have made her actually sing with her actual good voice. The worst part were the patients, though, especially their guardians. Their crying... There were five types: 1. The vibrato 2. The whine 3. The pant 4. The strain 5. The ramen. For me, the patients' stories weren't sad or emotional at all, but very annoying most of the time. Two hours of that each episode was just too much. Another problem for me was how boring it was. I thought I was falling asleep in half the episodes, and I didn't even notice when I accidentally skipped something. Every scene is the same, every episode is the same. Of course, there were some decent scenes that brought a little smile out of me, but overall, I would say it wasn't very interesting. Another reason it was boring was because of all the talking. I really didn't need to know all that medical information just as a kdrama watcher. (I didn't learn anything either). There are plenty of good job dramas out there that still teach you something with less talking. The romance was the best part, although that's not saying much. I only say that because the rest of the drama wasn't good, but even so, there were plenty of crusty scenes. Also I was shocked to hear that it was by the same director/writer as Reply 1988, since the latter was one of my favorite realistic slice of life/comedy dramas. Same with Prison Playbook. Check those out instead! Sorry, I ended up writing more than my review for season 1... But that's how I feel.

Not very exciting. After watching Reply 1988 I was hoping for something to match that level of humor and all, but was really disappointed. Compared to the other k-dramas in the series, this one was really cringy and did not meet the standards. Sung Dong-il basically carried the whole drama but didn't come out enough. Judging from just the main characters, this would have been a 1-star, but I had to take the other side-characters into consideration too. First of all, the love triangle was extremely crusty. Sseureki and Najung acted like siblings for years and now they start liking each other? It just makes no sense. The actors are great, but this drama just was not it. And Chilbong just had to come in for no reason and ruin the drama. He gave me chills everytime I saw his face since the character was just pure bad. Binggeurae also gave me chills, but was expected since he and Chilbong are cousins (it probably runs in the blood). On the bright side, Haitai and Samcheonpo were pretty funny and made up for a lot of the lost humor from the other characters. The ending was very slow and I couldn't focus on most of it because it was so boring. To wrap this up, I really would not recommend; just watch Reply 1988 and 1997.

Sisyphus: The Myth started out great. At first it was pretty fast paced, full of action... And then it started to go downhill. There was good acting and good music throughout the whole series, but the problem was the execution of the plot. Great ideas for the plot, but the writer made it confusing. Way too many unnecessary flashbacks for the first half of each episode, and every episode felt very long to me. I had hoped it would get better so I continued to watch, but even after the last episode, I felt empty. Also, I felt some things were very unrealistic. Towards the beginning, the boys go jumping and falling off buildings, and they are totally okay. Not a scratch or twisted ankle. I get that the female lead is more skilled in those types of things, but the rest shouldn't exactly be able to jump ten feet across two buildings and live. It just gave me the chills. I wouldn't recommend, since it gets boring at about the fourth or fifth episode. Ending had something weird and confusing that I still don't get to this day. I liked the vibes, but this drama wasn't for me. Jo Seungwoo and Park Shinhye happened to be great actors, though, and I hope I can see them in better roles sometime. To wrap things up, don't watch unless you're really bored (and make sure not to watch it after a really good drama).

Tale of the Nine Tailed was a great drama. It had a great story, great characters (most of them), interesting backstories. Loved little Suho (Jung Siyul), Yuri (Kim Yongji) and Shin Joo (Hwang Hee), and Lee Rang (Kim Bum). Rang had to be in one of my top favorite k-drama characters, and he was the best part of the drama; I waited for each of his next scenes. The brother relationship between him and Lee Yeon was too good. There were plenty of great scenes. But there was a problem. Miss Nam Jia. Starting from her bratty attitude, and ending with her selfish soul, I despised every scene where she came out. Okay, at first she was fine. She wasn't my favorite, but I could deal with her. And then she started liking Mr. Lee Yeon, and everything went off like a bomb. Everytime the couple came out, I wanted to fast forward to the next Lee Rang scene, because I just kept getting the chills. Simping day and night, during fights and rests. But it just got worse. Kissing, kissing, kissing. I wanted to cleanse my eyes after watching episode 13. I wanted to rinse my brain of that episode. I still do. If you know, you know. Starting from about episode 8, I just couldn't STAND the way they looked at each other, as if nothing (or no one) else in the world existed. I wanted to go in there and tell them to wake up. Very unsatisfying ending. I'd like to have a word with the writers, because it was just horrible. People say it was bittersweet, but no. It was not. ***go down to see spoilers***. Overall, one of my top ten dramas, and I would definitely recommend, just watch out for the simps. *** SPOILERS:::::: SPOILERS:::::: SPOILERS:::::: After episode 15, I told my family, "Oh, what if they sacrifice someone to bring Lee Yeon back and then the couple gets married and lives happily ever after, forgetting about the person in a day?" I was joking. I said, "That's not going to happen, right? Right, friend?" And guess what? It did happen! Rang deserved way a way better ending than the selfish couple ever deserved. Definitely disappointed at Lee Yeon and his reaction after the sacrifice. Episode 16 was a disaster, and the tomatoes were about to go flying. The eggs were about to go flying.

Great drama and would have given a 5-star if it wasn't for one thing. The ship. The couple. Whatever you want to call it. Well, first things first. The acting was really good in the k-drama overall so no negative comments to any of the actors. There was everything wrong with the main girl, Jo Yiseo. At first I thought she was a pretty cool character, but then she started getting clingier and clingier... Then I couldn't take it anymore. Why was she so mean to everyone but her "crush"? I get that she was supposed to be like that, but that was a little too much, wasn't it? At the end I really cringed and got very disappointed when they got together. I would have very much preferred Saeroyi to have gotten with Soo-ah since it made a lot more sense. I just couldn't stand how Saeroyi suddenly returned the feelings to Yiseo. They didn't even have any chemistry and I just saw them as "boss" and "worker-with-a-weird-crush". Absolutely nothing more. Other than the ship, I loved every part. The music was awesome, the beginning was really fast, the story didn't drag... I would recommend it so please give it a watch, but just remember what I told you about the couple. The end will really give you the chills.

This was definitely a 1-star. Unfortunately, the plot had so much potential but was executed terribly. Male lead's acting was very disappointing and characters gradually became more and more annoying. LMH's bad acting was reflected on the others too, since their acting was not to their best either. To be truthful, the couple was horrible and randomly started on the about third episode with no build-up at all, and throughout the whole drama there was no chemistry between the two, only crust. Thankfully, Woo Dohwan was there and carried the whole k-drama on his own, but he was still basically a side-character and came out less than I had hoped. Without him it would be a 0-star. Very confusing story... What was the villain's motive? What was the point of the mackerel? I still have so many unanswered questions. Very slow pace, boring, would very much NOT recommend at all unless you're looking for a bad k-drama. The ending was very bad and cliché, and I was hoping that it wouldn't end like that while watching but sadly it did. The only good parts were WDH and the music (one of the best soundtracks and was wasted on this drama). Do not watch as it is a waste of time. Very overrated, probably because of LMH.

Started out pretty good in the beginning and it actually brought a few laughs out of me at first. But I might have been expecting too much since everyone told me it was good, and PSJ is a great actor, but this k-drama was just not for me. In the first half, the characters were likeable and actually had chemistry; I even shipped the main ship a little. But then after they started dating, the whole drama went downhill. Plot got old, second ship was frustrating, the MAIN ship was the worst... Way too much kissing between the two; it probably took up over half the time of the drama. There were too many scenes were they were just sitting in their room together and acting cringy. But what really set off the bomb was !!!SPOILER!!! when Aera decided to break up with Dongman just because he wanted to keep fighting. Excuse me? That was totally unnecessary. If I was dating someone and they made me give up my passion I would say GOODBYE right away with no hesitation. None at all. When I thought things were going to get exciting, they didn't. When I thought things were going to get interesting, they didn't. Don't watch it. The only things I found fun were Dongman's coach and Taksu.

I finished watching Bulgasal a couple days ago. When I first started, I found it kind of interesting, plot wise, especially in the historical life, but maybe I had my hopes too high because in the second episode, I started to lose my interest. It was disappointing, really, especially after watching Tale of the Nine-Tailed, which had a similar genre/vibe (that one was really good though, definitely recommend). I really wanted to drop it at episode 7, since I just saw the same things over and over again from episode 3. It was confusing, boring, and even for the plot twists, I wasn’t shocked at all. The script was terrible and crusty which led to bland acting from the main cast and the supporting actors. I've seen the main actors from other dramas/movies (Kwon Nara from Itaewon Class and Lee Jinuk from Sweet Home, Miss Granny, and many more), and I don't recall seeing their acting anywhere near as dull as in this one, with a million scenes of them just staring at each other with teary eyes when they're supposed to be enemies. Unfortunately, the love-hate relationship thing didn't work out here, since they went from being angry at each other to being all nice and happy. There was definitely no chemistry at all between the two, and I would have preferred it if they just stayed enemies to the end. The supporting characters attempt to be funny at times, but it really wasn't funny at all, just cringy. In fact, all their bickering and facial expressions were annoying most of the time. I just couldn't stand those scenes. It got even worse when something bad would happen to one of the characters, because then they would quickly get saved and they would act perfectly fine as if nothing happened. They were smiling, arguing, eating meat, and living in some strange creature's house with no objection or suspicions. Also the bad guy, Ok Eul-tae, was a little confusing. Plus I've seen Lee Joon from The Silent Sea and that character, more serious and less flamboyant, matched him way better. To be honest, I've actually seen most of these actors in other dramas and they were way better in those. The only good parts were the music and cinematography, except those times were they randomly played that upbeat, "funny" music when the characters were attempting to be funny. It was annoying. Anyway, there are more things I could talk about, but I don’t want to spend more time on this. . . In conclusion, do not watch this unless you’re desperately bored!! There are a lot of other dramas you could watch instead. Spoiler below! Spoiler: Also why did Hwal reincarnate at the end after he died?? That was such a typical ending that I would have guessed any day. Disappointing ending, just like the whole drama.
