"Visually stunning" might be a cliche, but it fits. Thats the highpoint of the movie.
If you turn the sound down and invent your own dialogue, you'll be more entertained than the drivel the writers came up with. The story (what there is of it) is a major letdown. After building, teasing and hanging this Tommy Lee Jones carrot in front of you the whole movie, when we finally get to the "climax" (and i use that word very loosely) it is a major letdown. Remember the series finale of The Sopranos, 12 minutes of a blank screen? Well, my reaction to the last 15 minutes of Ad Astra was similar. "THAT'S the ending? was my and my wife's reaction. Brad Pitt isn't BAD, he's just sorta..there. Watching him look different degrees of pensive and concerned as the extent of his acting was disappointing.
2 stars for great visuals and Brad Pitt giving it his "all" , but thats it.
