It's fantastic, and at the same time truly awful! In that it's so intense you feel exhausted! Tremendous performances all round, just perfect. Makes you feel unnerved from the get go and never stops. Genuinely frightening too! Practically no violence throughout, just constant threat. A true thriller. Watch it and try and get a good sleep after. You won't be friendly with anyone you meet again in case they invite you over! This is the type of thriller that should win awards. Very believable / by being relatable! With so many bad films around it's good to finally see a winner. James McEvoy is probably lovely in real life, but plays an asshole so incredibly well. Bravo.

Second to Andor this is the best star wars. What is all the fuss about? Actual jeopardy. People perish in this show and it added a sense of threat that to the story. The story itself actually feels like the show had an arc forming as well. Sure there are one or two points of which you may want to change , but very few. Villains were great. Backstory great. Scenery and overall shooting of the show was fantastic, I for one loved that lots of it felt like it was shot outside. To demonstrate that Jedi can make mistakes and are not infallible, and decisions have consequences is what made the Spiderman character in marvel so good. So let's show the side of the Jedi that screw up while trying their best. What a great (superb even) idea for a show. At least give it time to grow. Give it a second season and be brave.

It's joy and nonsense, and well acted and directed throughout. It's very confusing (on purpose as you find out), and overall is just very enjoyable. I've seen and commented on a lot of rubbish (mainly the last marvel movies) this however is refreshing .... with an actual good story! I didn't think I'd be saying that , but then at one point you just "get it" Now the last Kingsman film... was just rubbish. This isn't. It knows not to take itself seriously and plays on the ideas throughout. Stick with it till the end , as just after the mid point you will have a new perspective. It may sound unfounded, but there is actual nuance to the story, and it's genuinely very clever! Enjoyable to the last choreographed fight (of which many!!)

The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes

It's just flat. They try so very hard at trying to make you care about the characters, but you just can't as everyone is one dimensional. It's like someone said let's make everything as Disney as we can, and "get the songs in lads, come on let's get the emotional songs!, like a big music video" which sets the tone as early years Disney princesses. Let's even get the most cartoon villain you have seen since 1960s batman, and place it all in a movie that equally brutally kills teenagers! It doesn't lean into the genres well. Plays like a juvenile wrote it. Let's tell the actors "give me more emotion" and they do. They really try. And yet. Yet you just can't care for anyone, or anything. Just praying for the credits. Then it comes up. Part 3. And you think. FFS, there is more? And you sit through more of it. And then you think. My god. This is dull. That feeling doesn't go away.

It's really enjoyable! It's much much better than the last bunch of super hero movies spat out by Marvel and Disney. It's got heart and great acting and a pure Indiana Jones plot. Action sequences are solid, characters are well rounded and fleshed out, its never boring and at the end you feel the story has come to a satisfactory conclusion. You can easily watch it with the kids, as it's not bloody or gory, doesn't drop unnecessary swearing into conversation (looking at you Guardians of the Galaxy). It's not 5 stars because, you can't be a 'TOP GUN Maverick', every time, but Indy is a solid staple, much improved over the Crystal Skull, and thankfully a great conclusion to this story. Audience ratings on Rotten Tomatoes far better indicator than the critics poor reviews. I think they (the critics) feel burned as they rated the 'Crystal Skull' highly ... when frankly it was terrible. This is a much much much better movie. Bring the kids and remember that classic John Williams score and see Indy fight his last bunch of Nazis. Harrison Ford may be old, but in this film he plays it that way, and it suits him better for it. A highly enjoyable watch.

It's actually just dull. I had high hopes for it, but its formulaic at best. It's neither funny or scary (not that I'm in to horror anyway) it's really just kinda boring I'm afraid. Give it a solid miss. Best thing about it was the trailer. Stupid tropes and poorly executed...it's like a student film that doesn't hit the mark although it's trying. Acting is fine ...apart from the CEO (who stands out at being poorly portrayed, like for comic effect that misses). Shame really.

It's a perfectly fine film. No it doesn't match the first one. Looks good etc, but something is missing from it, maybe we see too much of the Predator. Not sure. It's much better than all the other Predator films , but all of them fail to match the first. Didn't feel like I wasted time watching it though, so if your looking for something to watch it's not a wasted evening. I doubt you will go back however!
