Sweet Kaaram Coffee started off strong with a refreshing premise, but midway it slipped into clichés and predictable tropes. The finale felt overly stretched, weighed down by excessive emotional drama.

Though slow but engaging first hour but dragged on after that without much substance. Other than it's cat-and-mouse game between a SP and the local kingpin where both take the help of the hero, there is nothing much of substance.

A gripping and intriguing political thriller drama that lets you into how the world of diplomacy unfolds behind the scenes in an ally nation in this case United Kingdom. Both season 1 & 2 ends on a cliffhanger, so can’t wait what’s in store for Season 3 (expected in late 2025).

It is a remake of ‘97 Hollywood hit ‘Breakdown’ which was a nail biting adrenaline pumping crime action thriller and to its credit, Vidaamuyarchi is kept very close to the original up to 2/3rd of the film including mirroring the locales to resemble the vast beautiful New Mexico desert by shooting the whole film in the deserts of Azerbaijan. One deviation from the original that was a welcome change was the various twists to the plot but with all Indian movies, as they unravel the plot, they do not know how to end it crisply which in this case is a waste of 30+ min of unnecessary fighting with every character who appears on the screen. Some of the notable mentions are cinematography, BGM by Anirudh, acting of Rebecca Cassandra and lack of any unnecessary songs and comedy scenes. At best a one time watch and perhaps can wait until it comes on OTT.

One can watch for Maddy who has performed his role as a middle class railway ticket collector with ease but overall the movie lacked any depth. The story had a strong concept but fell short in execution giving it a very amateurish feel. At times, you’re left confused whether it was meant to be a satire or a serious drama. Even Neil Nitin Mukesh and the minister’s roles were more comical than villanish. It was definitely a missed opportunity that could have been much more impactful with better screenplay, direction and execution.

Raayan - Quite captivating, engaging and intriguing with free flowing screenplay that cast Dhanush in a very different role (a fatherly figure for 2 younger brothers and a doting sister) with befitting violence and some nice crisp twists for 3/4th but as usual meandered into unnecessary violence in the name of revenge with no substance towards the end. Wasted SJ Surya and Prakash Raj though both have meaty roles but Dhanush and his brother Selvaraghavan were standout with their roles. ARR has scored couple of good tunes music along with standout cinematography and choreography (by Prabhu Devs). 2.5/5 at best

Keerti steals the show with her looks and effortless acting. She is a joy to watch

Started off well, lost some steam in-between but the end twist were surprising

#jailerreview I would rate the movie by breaking into 3 parts - The first 45 min was very engaging, entertaining, exciting and fairly fast-paced with enough drama. Rajni was at his best in all aspects - 4/5 The rest until 3 min to the end was totally absurd to the core. This is when the stars from other languages make the so-called cameo appearance more to appease the crowd from those regions. The kaavaala song by Tamannah was so horrible along with the sequences that followed - 0/5 The climax though predictable was nevertheless the right ending - 3/5 What stood out was Rajni’s acting, looks and some action, villain Vinayakan, Vasanth Ravi (as Rajni’s son) who has lot of potential and Anirudh’s BGM. Overall 2.75/5
