Whenever I read There was a Country by Chinua Achebe (I have read it 5 times), it always lives an undefinable great impression on me. I can't get tired of this book. I admire and appreciate Mr. Achebe's work and wisdom, the same problems he wrote against in this book and his other books (Things Fall Apart, Man of the people, No longer at ease and the problem with Nigeria), is relatively the same problems we are facing in modern-day 'democratic' Nigeria.
