Oh my. How difficult for the actors having to trudge through such stilted sludge that passed for a script.
The staging, directing, production values. It was almost, quaint. If it had only been shot in black-&-white, it would've looked exactly like something we would've seen on CBC tv in the late 1950s.
Take a quick peek at, oh I don't know, any edition of The West Wing, or even Hill Street Blues or ... well almost anything else on tv in the past 20 years.
This is a show that's trying so hard to be earnest but is laden with one-dimensional, cliche characters.
It is at best, 'should watch' tv. But with so much available ...
