This is an amazing book filled with adventure, fear, and heart. I loved it as an adult, and I'm sure all ages 8 to 88 will love it too. The audio book is also fantastic (as narrated by Almarie Guerra). There is so much to gain from this book by way of insight, whether from its thought provoking issues, the fresh approach to folklore and legends, the bond of sisterhood and family, the bond of mixed friendships, exploration of fear and weakness and different types of character strength, and the emotional connection we all need. The integrity, kindness, and loyalty of Cece Rios makes her my hero. And the struggle of Coyote and Little Lion to survive in their difficult world touches my mama-bear heart. A must read for boys and girls! And older boys and girls too :)
