Although Bradley Walsh is a very good actor 'The Larkins' just doesn't hit the spot. The makers have totally misunderstood the essence of the story. The house is too grand, the farm too neat and the children too modern. The original series 'The Darling Buds of May was much more in keeping with the book of the same name. If a second series is made a bit more nostalgia would be good.
