Trailer doesn't review much but I thought this movie was great! Interesting plot, great acting. Well written, not your average churn em out Netflix movie!

I really loved this movie. I'm ashamed at the beginning I thought it would just be a slice of life sort of boring movie about a wife and her overshadowed life but the story is a lot deeper. There's a lot that is revealed to the audience as the movie goes on. It's a great storyline. Very fascinating and I highly recommend!

Don't go into this thinking it's a rom com. It's more a movie about one main character. Yes he is very unlikable but the movie explores lots of interesting concepts about race and identity with some funny bits thrown in. As a first gen Asian kid I really enjoyed it, it was thought provoking and nuanced. Great food for thought and great acting by the main character especially.

I'm confused as to why there are so many good reviews. This movie is so basic. Lazy writing, super straight, predictable plot, the main character is annoying and shows no personal growth, she only cares about herself. I wouldn't waste time watching this, there are plenty of other more original movies to watch.

I'm surprised to see this movie only has 3.3 on Google. I loved it! Really well paced, it fit a lot in and was laugh out loud funny in many parts. At first I was worried it would have a very clichéd story line but it each character was able to have their story and everything rolled up into one cohesive thoroughly enjoyable film. It is so great to see more Asian American and Asian Australian actors out there sharing stories which reflect my experience on the big screen. Highly recommend!

This was so good! If you are put off by the space/ sci fi theme, don't be! This is a very solid feel good comedy! I'm glad I took a chance and chose this!!

I cannot stress how good this movie is and the fact it got such low imdb ratings just proves imdb is whack! Even though it was made in the 90s, it's still so relevant and one of my favorite movies about friendship. It is hilarious and has a stellar cast. Do yourself a favor and watch it!!!

I usually trust Google reviews as the people's choice over imdb and rotten tomatoes but this time I was disappointed. After watching the pink panther I was looking for more Steve Martin slapstick magic but this didn't hit the mark for me. It wasn't funny enough to be a comedy but also didn't have enough substance to be a drama. Also the notion of having your parents pay for a super outlandish wedding when you're not contributing anything didn't sit well with me. I love Steve Martin and Diane Keaton but this wasn't worth the watch in my opinion. Highly recommend the Pink Panther though!!

This was such a great film!! I was looking for something to watch and thought I'd try this Bollywood film I had on my lost instead of another run of the mill American movie. I'm so glad I did! Such a great and uniqe storyline, great charscters and a really enjoyable movie. I would definitely recommend!!
