This movie is practically unwatchable. In my mind it represents a perfect example of the inbred praise heaped on Hollywood "giants" in what can only be called, rather crudely, an entertainment circle jerk. Brad Pitt and Leonardo DiCaprio are both accomplished actors. I am struggling to understand why they would buy in to this mediocrity. Very reminiscent of the praise heaped on The Goldfinch which I found to be virtually unreadable. An example of the influence of the Literati, another circle jerk. Here, however, is the influence of the Glitterati. In its favor, the Academy has made it a perfect movie for our times with a clear sense of Trumpian candor and honesty: best movie ever!
