It's a good action show, one where you sit back and enjoy the action as it unfolds. Animated aliens are quite convincing, time jumping is simplified and understandable, and they did explain some possible logic gaps. The humour of Chris Pratt, was very classically done as well.
What I really like about the show was how they considered the human aspect of sentiment, in how history unfolds, against the possible of total extinction. The mere fact that Colonel Forester didn't want to engage emotionally with her father from the past, was heart wrenching yet understandable. The way they ended off with the father helping the son win the alien queen, was also quite beautifully bridged.
What I didn't like as much, was how the plot line was ultimately predictable, not leaving room for storyline expansion. Would have been interesting to see how leaving the alien space ship for a future iteration, would have been interesting.
