What i like about the TLOUS part 2 is the nuanced story with a lot of gray areas. The message of the story is Revenger is a vicious cycle. At the end of the day Ellie and Abby were trying to avenge their loved ones who were killed due to circumstances beyond anyone's control. There is an old saying "if want revenge you better dig two graves" 10/10 in my book.
