A Bathey – Google

Watched 2 seasons in 4 days, marathon. After few episodes in S1, i had to speed 1.25x or 1.5x as they keep dragging. Ok both seasons only the villain has more power, rest of the Locke family has nothing, they are beaten up like anything. Only in last episodes of both seasons the villains are kind of killed in few seconds, worst stunt. There is no interesting fights between both, except people are excited using magical keys for nothing. Though villain gets almost all the keys, he/she waits for the heroes to come and get beaten up - no sense. Can watch one time, storyline is good though.

I recently started liking Malayalam movies, This movie was suggested by one of my friends after I said that Anna Ben nailed her performance in HELEN and Kappela. In general Malayalam movies are very natural without any mass entry scenes or hi-fi songs, just simple as that. I like this movie, everyone has acted very good and shared the screen space along - surprised to see Ramesh Tilak and Sheela were also part of the movie. Songs are soothing. If you are interested in family drama, then this one is good.

Total runtime is 120 mins which could have been cut down to 60 to 75 mins. The movie is dead slow, all scenes are expanded to make a lengthy movie, eg. the ambulance coming to their house, getting inside and taking reverse, opening the door bringing him out carrying him all the way to upstairs is all unwanted sequences. Not sure why they wanted to show all these in a movie. It was like a series. Probably if you have option to increase speed, put it in 2x so that you can finish the movie in 1 hour or less.
