I've always been a fan of Picoult, but this book felt extra special. The Book of Two Ways. The way it's written definitely follows the theme of two ways, but the way it comes together at the end was a twist I was not expecting, but happily embraced. I appreciate the way Picoult takes subjects that we are sometimes afraid to talk about & makes stories out of them. Death, wondering what could have been, the sad end of a relationship, & the exciting start of a new one. Plus I really enjoy egyptiology so this was so fun to read. Olive it and highly suggest it!
On a more personal note, I found it weird that many people didn't enjoy it. This is probably presumptuous of me to assume, but I think to fully appreciate it, you have to be able to relate to Dawn in some way. I've expirienced much of what she has so I felt a connection with this book. I found this book at a point in my life where I was second guessing everything & had just expirienced loss. Reading this helped me find clarity and for that I'm thankful.
