I can’t believe I paid £100 for this game. After playing starfield for 70+ hours I am honestly quite baffled how this game took 8+ years to make it feels like a massive downgrade from past BGS titles. - THE LOADING SCREENS! - Boring uninspired main quest - Massive downgrade to exploration - Massive regression in NPC AI - 3 out of the 4 factions are just not worth playing. - 95% of planets are empty - Side quests are pretty much all fetch quests go here do this speak to this person etc - Companions are the worst ever created - Character models have a had a severe downgrade - Weapon diversity is bad - Build diversity is bad - No morally questionable decisions or quests I could go on forever, after playing BGS for over 13+ years and seeing the slow regression in their game quality and design I am really worried about the future of some of my favourite franchises namely fallout and most of all elder scrolls. Starfield really has shown how far behind Bethesda is from other AAA developers. I first played the elder scrolls 5 Skyrim when I was 12 years old and now it’s looking like I’ll be around 27-28 years old when I get to play elder scrolls 6 and knowing that ES6 was pushed back to create STARFIELD makes me sick. If this is the precedent Bethesda has set for their games then all I can say to anyone reading this review is be ready to be let down by future releases.
