Loved it. A refreshing insight into that era and all that it bestowed upon those caught up in it. Thoughts amd feelings all laid bare as you'd expect from the writer, and superbly portrayed by a talented ensemble. We easily forget the true eloquence and grace of the English language these days as it erodes into textspeak.....

Absolutely dreadful. It's as if they never bothered to read the book. Poor script, poor acting, unrelated to the real premis of Wells intentions. Just another typical TV adaption 'blockbuster', the way the yanks would have done it, never mind the essence of the story, it might get in the way of the effects and melodrama!! Rubbish..
