I’m not review bombing. I wanted to love this show but honestly it’s a boring mess. The pacing is awful. Love Jodi Foster but not in this. The sci-fi weirdness seems lame and at one point in episode 4 I thought it was going to go full stop Exorcist mode. Just in terms of a scary jolt. But no explanation for it and I feel like an idiot spending any more time watching to find out what happens. Plus I’ve heard the finale is a big letdown.

This is one of the most laughable tv shows I have ever seen. Terrible writing and dialogue, awful acting, ridiculous costuming ignoring any continuity ( she’s is in a raft after surviving a plane crash and she doesn’t have a mark on her) In a white sweater no less . Christopher Plummer behaving like someone’s dottering grandfather!! I usually like Archie Penjabi. They even costumed her like Kalinda from the Good Wife. For really good laughs you gotta watch.

This movie is flat out bad. Boring nonsense. I honestly could not believe it. Adrenaline pumping? The poor actors who had to recite those lines! Just saying “The Entity” made me giggle every time. Although that got old too. Best part of the movie? The last 10 minutes showing their escape from the train wreck on the bridge. Literally a cliff hanger. I think the other reviews are fake. They MUST be.

Amazing performance by Gary Oldman. Some plot points and strained attempts at humor spoil things a bit on the whole, but he redeems all of it. I hope more seasons await.

It’s a harrowing series. But I was so put off by Michael Stuhlberg’s (sp) performance that I stopped watching. He had the exact same frown on his face constantly and it was exactly the same as the gangster in Your Honor. One note. The rest of the cast is quite good . I had just finished Empire of Pain, the most extensive history of the entire Sackler family. An excellent book.
