Yes, you have to have a sense of humor. Some of the characters are cartoonish and the CSI crew takes on almost the entire Miami law enforcement responsibility but its fun to watch and good for some laughs like Calleigh Duquesne. That screeching Daisey Mae voice that becomes under her breath when given some dialog to try to reduce the annoyance. Can't imagine that voice in the morning before having my coffee

I like this series, the landscape, the delightful characters, the period authenticity, great acting what's not to like. If you are into voyeurism, soft porn, schadenfreude, and sadistic behavior, this is the series for you. I just fast-forward and it is wonderfully entertaining. All of the characters are alcoholics, unwashed and eat with their hands. I only watch after I have eaten and shower soon after. For being a modern woman, Brianna fell into the service of slaves to easily letting maids dress her, sew for her, maintain her bed chamber, cook and serve her food, and even deliver her baby. Just goes to show that the propensity to enslave is of all ages
