I hated this movie. I watched the whole Skywalker storyline just for all of them to die and a Palpatine descendant to take on the Skywalker name! What kind of disrespect is this? It felt rushed and choppy. I can't believe they ended it this way. So infuriating.
Also, they tell us throughout the series that there are children who are force sensitive spread out all over the galaxy but they burn the jedi books, and suggested they were going to start over and left us with no action plan, just a Palpatine who wanted to be a Skywalker taking on the yellow lightsaber.
Why would Luke Skywalker try to kill his nephew knowing his father was the same way and even he went to the dark side? If Luke killed Darth Vader and Leia killed Luke we'd have no story. That was so hypocritical of Luke to try to kill him. The person who did this story could not have been a fan. This was jive.
I'm going to give you a good idea for free Disney. Y'all should make these last three movies into a bad vision of the future for Kylo and have him wake up in a new movie where we thinks about how to NOT make this his future.
You're welcome.
Sincerely,
A Mad Star Wars Fan
