Amazon put to much of a limit on this show, had terrible post production, and really bad pacing and writing.
It seemed as though a bunch of higher ups quickly read the books and thought it was a cash cow and made a TV show. They don't seem to be book fans and they break a lot of the bigger points of the books.
Maybe they can fix season 2, but as the show stands, it doesn't hold a candle to the books.
