A work of beauty in the field of cinematic storytelling.
I admit I didn't get too much of the plot (granted since this is Evangelion that we're talking about) but somehow and someway, despite the questions of lore that still even lies to my head even NOW, the film provided me a conclusion that strangely gives me serene peace yet a hanging bittersweetness since this is truly after everything, the end of Evangelion (i swear this pun was not intended).
It gave me the events and scenes that I wished for and interactions that I didn't know I even wanted in the first place. It gave me the music to really feel for its storyline and also emotions which can be nothing short of undescribable.
Despite the always brain-melting factor that has practically became a staple of Evangelion, there lies no doubt within my head that this was one of the best, if not, perfect way to end off such a complex yet influential franchise to us all.
Thank you, Hideaki Anno, for this masterpiece.
And goodbye, all of EVANGELION.
