I am watching season 4 and seeing a disconnect. The contestants are for the most part, designers who have made it to the finals but have not won. Two designers however were Project Runway winners. These two have won the grand prize, the money, the mentorship and received all the benefits of being a winner… and yet. Here they are competing for the same cash and prizes that they already received. Yet they need to do it again?! Why does Dimitri need to win this competition twice? Christian Serrano won once. He is a force to be reckoned with in fashion today. He doesn’t need a second chance to win and launch his career again. Seeing Dimitri and Michelle in the competition again just tells me that the judges were wrong. These designers had every advantage that comes w being a project runway winner and they are still have to come begging for money.
