Well all I can say is that the critics must have been watching a completely different film to the one I've just seen. Ok, yes I'm a life long fan of the music and have seen several documentaries over the years that gave glimpses into the lives of the band. This film was brilliant, powerful and emotional. For me it captured the band's origins and charted the rise to fame really well and showed enough of the highs and lows without lingering too much or being overly gratuitous for the sake of it. Yes there is some poetic license applied, but this is not supposed to be factual biopic! The film's ending left me reliving arguably one of the most memorable moments in the band's history. Superb!
