this report was a milestone in projecting current trends (1980) well into the future. Some of the issues addressed up in the report, have manifested, while some have not. Climate change, for example was not foreseen in 1980. However, looking back from 2020, it is good to compare many of the issues with pressing issues we fact today, e.g. the current cover-19 pandemic.
